History Faculty Teach Osher Lifelong Learning Course on "The Home Front"

Several faculty in the Department of History and Art History have teamed together to teach a course on the American home front in modern war. This course is being offered in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at George Mason. According to the catalog description, "this course analyzes how the American people reacted to major wars in the past century, with primary focus on World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Desert Storm/Iraq/Afghanistan 'terror' wars since 1990." Peter Stearns is providing the framework for the course, while Zachary Schrag is lecturing on WWII, and Meredith Lair is lecturing on Vietnam. The list of sessions is available in the OLLI catalog.
