Desmond Moffitt, an undergraduate history major, has won a 2017 Urban Leaders Fellowship. "The Urban Leaders Fellowship is a paid fellowship that recruits the best and brightest for an intensive, seven-week experience in eight premier cities across the country." The fellowship will support his work with Oakland Promise in Oakland, California. Oakland Promise is a "cradle-to-career initiative aimed at tripling the number of college graduates from Oakland within the next decade."
