Joe Downer, who received his B.A. from the Department of History and Art History in 2012, has been awarded a Scottish Rite Endowment Graduate Fellowship by the George Washington University for the 2013-2014 academic year. Downer, whose undergraduate research focused on African American racial disenfranchisement and historic preservation, is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology and Archaeology.
