Professor Genetin-Pilawa co-edits book on Native American History

C. Joseph Genetin-Pilawa, assistant professor of history, is co-editor of the new book Beyond Two Worlds:
Critical Conversations on Language and Power in Native North America.

The book's publisher, The State University of New York Press, explains that it "brings together scholars of Native history and Native American studies to offer fresh insights into the methodological and conceptual significance of the “two-worlds framework.” They address the following questions: Where did the two-worlds framework originate? How has it changed over time? How does it continue to operate in today’s world?"

Professor Genetin-Pilawa also contributed an essay to the volume in which he explores Native American experiences in nineteenth-century Washington D.C.
