Mason Historian Recognized for Innovative Digital Work

Slate, the online mgazine, recently recognized five digital archives projects in the humanities as the best of 2014. The Vault is Slate's history blog, maintained by historian Rebecca Onion. George Mason University historian Lincoln Mullen's account of The Spread of Slavery, 1790-1860 was hailed for its clarity, ease of use, and overall value to students of history.

Mullen joned Mason's faculty this year after completing his Ph.D. at Brandeis University. He specializes in digital history and US religious history. He blogs and posts his courses at his website.
