Founded in 2000, the Rainbow History Project collects and promotes an active knowledge of the history, arts, and culture relevant to sexually diverse communities in metropolitan Washington DC. The board of directors, comprised of archivists, community activists, and historians, aims to preserve the queer DC community’s memory through the collection of oral histories and documents, digital archiving, historical panels, workshops, and other educational community events.

“The Rainbow History Project is excited to announce Eric Gonzaba’s election to our board of directors. Eric is dynamic young scholar whose research closely mirrors and fosters the mission of the RHP to preserve the rich history and culture of the metropolitan DC LGBT community.”
