This required team-taught colloquium acquaints MA students in Art History with the range of fields offered in the program.  It introduces students to professors offering graduate seminars.  It prepares you for the slide exam portion of comprehensive exams, taken at the end of the semester and offers opportunities to begin preparation for the research and practicum sections of comprehensives.

Offers graduate-level survey in academic art history led by an instructor of record, with input from full Art History faculty. Participants review the current field through lectures, focused readings and group discussions with relevant faculty member. Participants may read in more depth in areas of special interest. Provides preparation for MA exams and professional preparation for teaching. May not be repeated for credit.
Recommended Prerequisite: Admission to the MA Program in Art History.
Registration Restrictions:

Enrollment limited to students with a class of Advanced to Candidacy, Graduate, Junior Plus, Non-Degree or Senior Plus.

Enrollment is limited to Graduate, Non-Degree or Undergraduate level students.

Students in a Non-Degree Undergraduate degree may not enroll.
