T. Mills Kelly
Associate Professor
T. Mills Kelly is the Associate Director of the Center for History and New Media and an Associate Professor of History and Art History at George Mason University. His first book, Without Remorse: Czech National Socialism in Late-Habsburg Austria, is an exploration of radical Czech nationalism in the late-19th and early 20th centuries. His current project is an examination of the intersection of drinking cultures and radical politics in 20th century East Central Europe. He is also the Principal Investigator of the project Making the History of 1989: Sources and Narratives on the Fall of Communism, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
Professor Kelly also conducts research on the influence of digital media on student learning in history. During the 1999-2000 academic year he was a Pew National Fellow with the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and in 2006 he was awarded the State Council for Higher Education’s Outstanding Faculty Award, the state’s highest recognition of faculty excellence.
