Matthew Karush
Associate Professor
Matt Karush received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Chicago in 1997. He is the author of Workers or Citizens: Democracy and Identity in Rosario, Argentina, 1912-1930 (University of New Mexico Press, 2002), as well as several journal articles on Argentine political and cultural history. He teaches a range of courses on modern Latin American history including “Revolution and Radical Politics in Latin America” and “Popular Culture and the Nation in Latin America.” Professor Karush is currently working on a study of mass culture in Argentina during the 1920s and 1930s.
