Ryan Swanson
Ryan completed his Ph.D. in United States history at Georgetown University in 2008. He specializes in the history of Reconstruction, specifically using baseball to examine the onset of racial segregation in America. After spending 2008-2009 as the JNG Finley Post-Doctoral Fellow, Ryan is currently a term professor in the history department. He is convinced (or foolishly hopeful) that this is the year that the Angels will make it out of the division round and win the World Series.
