Samuel Collins

Assistant Professor

Dr. Collins received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2005. He is currently revising his dissertation, “Architectural Imagination and the Politics of Place in the Carolingian Ninth Century” for publication. His research interests lie in the late antique and early medieval west, especially the intersection between religious expectation and political reality, the development of monasticism, and historical writing.
