Section Information for Spring 2018
World history suggests that the course of human civilization is more powerfully shaped by patterns of interaction across the globe rather than by the separate, parallel histories of individual nations and cultures. Issues regarding political, cultural, ideological and institutional structures, and transformations that ushered in the modern era are discussed, as well as aspects of daily life and material culture.
Satisfies the general education requirement in Western civilization/world history.
