Section Information for Summer 2023
Instead of a traditional textbook, the history of Western Civilization is explored through peer-reviewed scholarship. The course focuses upon transmitting to the student the tools for understanding complex analysis and for producing analytical composition. Written assignments are short. They are designed to focus the mind upon the details necessary for the development of an argument. The final grade is based upon weekly assignments. The quizzes are open-note and there are no tests.
