Section Information for Fall 2020
The course explores the interaction between the Christian East, the Muslim World and the Christian West. We will be examining primary sources (in translation) and secondary sources that render a wide spectrum of ideologies and scholarship on the crusading movement. The readings will emphasize cultural interaction and transmission, warfare and coexistence between competing societies from Western Europe, Byzantium, and the Middle East.
HIST 576 DL2 is a distance education section that meets synchronously. Students should expect to be online at the days and time scheduled.

Enrollment limited to students with a class of Advanced to Candidacy, Graduate, Junior Plus, Non-Degree or Senior Plus.
Students in a Non-Degree Undergraduate degree may not enroll.
