Nathan Michalewicz received his Ph.D. in history from George Mason University in 2020. His research focuses on early modern Europe, the Ottoman Empire, Christian-Muslim relations, and diplomacy. His current book project, The Ottoman Empire and French Foreign Policy (1547-1610), investigates the Franco-Ottoman alliance as an analytical lens to explore how Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire developed not only through mutual antagonism but also through social and political integration.
