PhD Student Beth Wolny Publishes Article on Female Marines at Embassies

Beth Wolney, a PhD student in the history program, has published an article titled "Female Marines Guard the Embassies: An Experiment in Social Progress and Cultural Change" in the August 2016 issue of the International Journal of Naval History. Wolney's article was originally written as a paper for a research seminar in U.S. history that she took with Professor Zachary Schrag. Wolney earlier presented the work at the 2015 conference of the Society for Military History.
