Benedict Carton presents at ‘Decolonizing the Museum’ Conference

On Novebmer 9, Dr. Benedict Carton, Robert T. Hawkes Professor of History and Art History, presented at a conference at Georgetown University.  The conference was on the theme, “Decolonizing the Museum: Transnational Comparisons.”  Carton’s presentation at the conference drew from his work on the research project, “Enslaved Children of George Mason,” which he and Dr. Wendi Manuel-Scott have carried out with a group of undergraduate researchers.
