Dr. Matthew Karush, Professor of History, has won a Taylor/Virgil Thomson Award from the American Society for Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) for his book, Musicians in Transit: Argentina and the Globalization of Popular Music. The ASCAP awards are given annually to recognize outstanding print, broadcast and new media coverage of music.
