Scott C. Miller received his M.A. in History from George Mason University in 2013. In December 2018, he received his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia and is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Economic and Business History at the Yale School of Management. Scott's dissertation, entitled "A Merchant's Republic: Crisis, Opportunity, and the Development of American Capitalism, 1765-1807," examines the development of the American economy during the post-revolutionary period.
