Jack Censer’s Prelude to Power: The Parisian Radical Press, 1789-91, originally published in 1976, has been reprinted by Johns Hopkins University Press. The Press was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to bring new life to outstanding out-of-print humanities books. The press selected some of their most important backlist titles to be reprinted—and Prelude to Power is one a select few to receive this honor.
