GMU Students to Present at the First Virginia-based Student's Egyptology Conference
Conference Schedule

The first Virginia-based, online student conference on Ancient Egypt will be held from April 8th - 9th! GMU students Roser Boltes-Beard, Olivia Holly-Johnson, and Tenni Littlewhiteman will present original papers on Ancient Egyptian art and archaeology. The conference is organized by George Mason University’s Dr. Jacquelyn Williamson in cooperation with Dr. Leslie Ann Warden of Roanoak College and Dr. Jeremy Pope of William and Mary.

Dr. Williamson, Dr. Warden, and Dr. Pope will also host two town hall discussions. The first will grapple with the history of race in the study of Ancient Egypt and the second will be a practical discussion on how to get into graduate school and succeed in the field of ancient studies.

The conference is free online via zoom, links in sidebar.
