History PhD student Anne Dobberteen is awarded Guggenheim fellowship at the Air and Space Museum

Anne Dobberteen, a history PhD student at Mason, was recently selected as a Daniel and Florence Guggenheim Predoctoral Fellow at the National Air and Space Museum (NASM).  The Guggenheim foundation provides fellowships for pre- and post-doctoral fellowships for scholars doing research in aviation and space history.  Fellows work closely with NASM staff while also using the museum’s extensive archival materials.  Dobberteen is currently writing her dissertation about the aerial visual culture of Washington, D.C.
