Vanessa Schulman wins grant to fund publication of new book

Vanessa Meikle Schulman, an art historian in the Department of History and Art History, has received a grant to support the publication of her new book.  The book, Art During Wartime: Painting Everyday Life in the Civil War North, is forthcoming with University of Massachusetts Press in 2024.  The grant is from the New Foundation for Art History, whose goal is to promote the diversity of the field of art history.
