Rosemarie Zagarri files amicus brief to the Supreme Court about presidential immunity

Professor Rosemarie Zagarri, Distinguished University Professor and Professor of History, recently joined other scholars of the Founding Era to co-author an Amicus Brief in the Supreme Court case of Donald Trump v. United States. The case will be argued on April 25, 2024 and will decide whether the former president is immune from criminal prosecution for actions allegedly taken to subvert the certification of the presidential election of 2020. Zagarri and one of the brief’s other co-authors, Holly Brewer, were interviewed about the issue on Brennan Center for Justice’s website.
