Professor Christopher Gregg will present an invited lecture at Kenyon College (Gambier, OH) on October 4th. His lecture, entitled, "Unifying Gaul through religion: the Altar of Rome and Augustus at Lugdunum (Lyon, France)" explores the use of Rome's imperial cult to both pacify and Romanize the Gallic population. The lecture is sponsored by the Classics Department of Kenyon College.
