Center for History and New Media to be Named After Rosenzweig

The History and Art History department is now raising funds for a very special purpose: to name its Center for History and New Media after Dr. Roy Rosenzweig, the founder and former director of the center who passed away in 2007.

The total cost of this naming opportunity is $1 million.  If the department can raise $750,000 in the next two years, a National Endowment for the Humanities grant will supply the final $250,000.  We have raised a lot already, but we need support from alumni and friends to accomplish this in Roy's memory.

The funds will go directly into the Center for History and New Media's endowment and will support its many educational, archival, and software projects, all of which are freely available to the millions of people who use them every year. The Center was Rosenzweig's brainchild, pride and joy.
