PhD Candidate Santelli Wins Fellowship to Philadelphia

PhD Candidate Maureen Santelli has been awarded an Andrew W. Mellon Visiting Research Fellowship in Colonial and U.S. History and Culture at the Library Company of Philadelphia and the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. In spring 2013 she will spend a month in Philadelphia, conducting research at both institutions for her dissertation, "'The Greek Fire': The Classical Tradition in America and the Greek War for Independence, 1720-1832," which she is writing under the supervision of Professor Rosemarie Zagarri.
