Mason history students have helped build a website for George Washington’s Mount Vernon Midden Project, an archeological excavation of the eighteenth-century South Grove Midden at Mount Vernon. MA student Jon Cameron and history majors Joe Downer and Brittany Higgs served as interns for the project, while doctoral student Lynn Price--who directs the George Washington Bibliography Project--served as a consultant. The site, which went live on April 1, offers a database of hundreds of objects and related materials that document the lives of those who lived and worked at Mount Vernon.
