This team-taught course will acquaint students with the range of art historical specializations taught in the department. It will expose students to fields outside their primary area of interest and help them prepare for the required comprehensive image exam. The purpose of the exam is to ensure that students have a broad knowledge of art historical periods and geographies and an understanding of how works of art respond to and shape their specific historical and cultural contexts.
