Letter from the Director

After a tumultuous year, the Art History department at Mason welcomed back students for the fall semester for both in-person and online classes. While teaching in a mask has been a challenge, we are so glad to see our students again and discuss the fascinating works of art we teach in real time. Despite the challenges of the past years, our faculty has continued to develop new classes and programs, and to engage in exciting new research. I am pleased to share below some of the many accomplishments of our faculty and alumni over the past few months.
