Dynamic Dimensions exhibit

This course explored the challenges and exciting opportunities in displaying art of the African diaspora. Through study of texts and objects, students developed, designed, and built a museum exhibition show that was displayed in the George Mason Buchanan Hall Atrium Gallery in April 2019. This show taught students about how curators use critical analysis, art historical knowledge, standard museum practices, imagination, and an ethical code to determine how to display objects from the African diaspora.
