When I graduated high school; I was unsure on what I wanted to studied. After a long debate, I decided I wanted to study history because it was my favorite subject in school.
My academic experiences in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences had a massive impact on me. I learned to be a better reader and writer during my time there. I also gained important knowledge and skills that will be useful in my career.
My proudest accomplishment at George Mason University is my senior paper. With the help of Professor Oberle, I was able to create a 25-page research paper about English as a Second Language and the controversy that surrounded it. I never believed that I could complete such a paper before but Mason made it possible for me.
Professor Oberle had a significant impact on me during my time at Mason. I learned how to become a historian because of him. Professor Mullen also had a massive impact on me because she taught me unique skills on a computer that improved my assignments and projects. I also learned how to make an informative podcast because of Professor Mullen.
I am still unsure on what my plans are after graduation. I hope that I can get a job within the Federal Government.
