Professor Barnes Awarded American Councils Research Fellowship

Steven Barnes, associate professor of history, has been awarded a research fellowship from the American Councils for International Education, which receives funding from the U.S. State Department's Title VIII Program.

From December to April, Barnes will travel in Russia and Kazakhstan, researching a project entitled, "The Wives' Gulag: The Akmolinsk Camp for Wives of Traitor to the Motherland."
