Explores the art, architecture, and archaeology of ancient Egypt in its cultural and historic context. Besides the famous monuments, students will also examine the influence of ancient attitudes about cultural identity on the art of the period as well as the impact of ancient Egyptian art on ancient Greece and modern western culture. May not be repeated for credit.

Recommended Prerequisite: 24 credits (sophomore standing)
