Ashleigh Williams is a PhD student at George Mason University, studying 20th century warfare and its effects on societies.  Her specific research focus is the experience of women, Black GI's, and Black Europeans in Germany and France during World War I and World War II.  She is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant at GMU (Professor Chang, Global History).  She previously studied at Texas State University (BA International Relations) and Sam Houston State University (MA History).
