World History: Late Antique and Medieval Mediterranean, Byzantium, cultural and social identities

Douglas Whalin received his PhD in History from Queens' College, University of Cambridge. His doctoral thesis explored how the boundaries of Roman identity developed in the period immediately following the Islamic conquests in the Greek and Syriac-speaking worlds.
