European History

Wes is a home-grown addition to the GMU staff. A military brat, Wes moved to northern Virginia in the mid-1980s, earned his Associate's from NVCC, then transferred to GMU for his BA and graduate school. After 10 years teaching for Northern Virginia Community College, he ventured down the road and took on classes at George Mason. During his time at GMU as a student, Wes was the Photography Editor for Broadside for two years; he's continued working in the field of journalism while dabbling in IT as necessary. He greatly enjoys teaching the intro-level Western Civilizations and US History classes and can often be found wargaming or reading books about Roman legions on the march or the intricate dance of the Cold War. In-between cross-country motorcycle trips and his full-time career as a motorcycle content producer, Wes researched an article on the British uprising against Roman rule in 60 AD.
