Degree: BA in History, minor in Ancient History and Mediterranean Archaeology
Hometown: Nokesville, Virginia
Future plans: Now enrolled in George Mason’s accelerated master’s program with a concentration in higher education, she plans to work at a local community college. She is also deeply passionate about museum work and hopes to pursue opportunities in that field. Ultimately, sharing her passion for history is a central goal, regardless of the setting.
Jessica chose George Mason for its sense of community and many opportunities. During her time at George Mason, Jessica not only deepened her passion for history but also discovered a strong interest in museum work and she hopes to pursue a career in the field. As a learning assistant, she enjoyed working alongside amazing people and gaining valuable experience.
Most impactful experience: Jessica’s most impactful experience at George Mason was working on her HIST 499 capstone museum exhibit project. Through her professor’s guidance and the research and synthesis process, she developed a genuine enthusiasm for museum work.
Advice for future Patriots: “Really experience campus life and be present. Enjoy this period of your life and have fun gaining experiences you can think back on for years to come.”
