Peter N. Stearns and Donna L. Kidd Endowed Scholarship in History History and Art History

Steven Nguyen is currently a junior at George Mason University as an  undergraduate student in a double major program for anthropology and global history with a minor in northeast Asian and pacific studies. He is from Lexington Virginia and graduated from Rockbridge County high school in 2024. Nguyen intends to graduate with a bachelors in anthropology and global history and then to pursue graduate school or a PhD program, where he will eventually go into the field and do research focusing on Asian history. Nguyen’s work focuses on preservation research and education about Asian history and culture, as he plans to eventually become an Asian history professor in the long run. In the meantime, postgrad he plans to do fieldwork in archival work in museums.
