Josephine Pacheco Award for Best History M.A. Research Paper History and Art History

Jessica Carson recently graduated from George Mason with her MA in Applied History. Although she was born in Fairfax, she grew up in equal parts in coastal Florida and metro Atlanta, Georgia. She previously served eleven years in the Air Force before separating to use her GI bill to towards a BA in History from Mason where she fell in love with the humanities. Jessica centers her research on changes in the American landscape with a focus on the interwar years. She has recently accepted an offer to work with the National Park Service where she intends to continue her work as an environmental historian.
