Robert K. Hedrick, Jr. and Walter F. Huxley Endowed Scholarship

Colin Pendergast

Colin Pendergast is currently a junior and is especially interested in military history, particularly the First and Second World Wars. He became interested in these topics at a very young age and still remembers reading his fathers' books about famous tank commanders during recess in the sixth grade. Since then he has aspired to study history in-depth and hope that after he gets his Bachelors he can pursue his Masters (through the accelerated Master's program) and someday in the future get his Ph.D. as well. After college, he would like to go into teaching (first at a high school level then hopefully one day at a college) as he loves discussing history in almost all time periods with people that were not too long ago in his same shoes asking similar questions.
