Mackenzie Hool

Mackenzie Hool is a senior in the BAM Program, concurrently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Arts in American History with a concentration in public history. Before becoming a George Mason Patriot to pursue her educational career in history, Mackenzie earned an Associate of Science degree from Northern Virginia Community College. As a proud native of Virginia, she has developed a keen interest in history, particularly military history, with a focus on the soldier's experience. She is also a committed trade unionist, working as a researcher in Washington, D.C., by day, and dedicating her evenings to attending classes. In her spare time, she is teaching herself to play bass guitar, indulging in writing, and cherishing moments spent with her friends and cat. Mackenzie feels privileged to have been honored with both the Donald R. Barr Memorial Endowed Scholarship and the Page-Nelson Award in History. She hopes that her dedication and passion for history will continue to be recognized as she progresses in her educational career.
