Alexa Koeckritz

Alexa Koeckritz is a senior in the BAM Program, concurrently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in digital history and a minor in museum studies alongside a Master of Arts in American history with a concentration in applied history and new media. As a military child, Alexa lived in six locations across the United States and Germany before coming to Fairfax to attend George Mason University. During her undergraduate career, she developed an interest in researching the history of protest and progressive social movements in the United States, especially those led by women.  After graduation, Alexa hopes to contribute to the development of the Smithsonian American Women's History Museum, using digital and public history techniques to make historical knowledge more accessible to the American public.
