History

Phil Graves is a second-year student in George Mason University's master of arts in history program, originally from Würzburg, Germany and currently hailing from Loudoun County, Virginia. He graduated from Mason in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in history and has spent the intervening years as a long-term substitute teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools. Phil is specializing in education, with research interests in the history of technology, Byzantine studies, Indigenous history, and the new military history. After graduation, he plans to teach high school history.
