Gloria Jiaying Dai

Gloria Jiaying Dai

Gloria (Jiaying) Dai is a current graduate student in the MA in Art History and Arts Management programs and the Graduate Professional Assistant of the Office of Undergraduate Education at George Mason University (GMU). Her professional work at GMU focuses on building the community through arts and culture activities and organizing educational programs on campus. Her research interests in art history and arts management include contemporary art, feminism, curatorial practices, and public engagement. Recently, she curated the exhibit Steven Luu: A Path to Healing & Transformation at the National Veterans Art Museum and co-curated RE(FORM)ER at Fenwick Gallery, George Mason University.  
 
Dai has extensive experience in publishing, marketing, and PR, working with local and international media outlets. Prior to GMU, she served as the Managing Editor of the NewStar Magazine (published and distributed in Shanghai) and co-organized events, including the Shanghai International Fashion Week Forum and Shanghai Designer Alliance Forum. She received the Editorial Excellence Awards at the 18th,19th, and 20th Shanghai International Arts Festival. Dai earned a BA in Journalism from Shanghai International Studies University in 2012.
