Rebecca L. West is a graduate student earning a master’s degree in history and a graduate certificate in digital public humanities. Born and raised in northern Virginia, she previously earned her associate’s degree at Northern Virginia Community College before completing her bachelor’s degree in cultural studies at Mason. With a background in nonprofit work, she hopes to continue to work in public history in ways that advocate for the importance of history in public life. Rebecca’s studies focus on cultural and environmental history in the American South.
