2022 Awardee

Andrew-David Herrera

Andrew-David Herrera

Andrew will be graduating this spring in 2022 with his bachelor’s degree in history and his plans range from going abroad in the interest of learning a new language to wishing to work and live in historically rich cities such as Washington, D.C., and Boston. Originally, Andrew was born and raised in Morgan Hill, California. He spent most of his schooling years from 3rd grade to 12th at Oakwood School, a private school that is also located in Morgan Hill. He hopes to work in public history – ideally the Smithsonian – to continue pursuing his passion well after graduation. While pursuing his degree, Andrew has expressed and pursued an interest in learning more about the historical record of Latin America, Japan, and the United States. With graduation on the horizon, he is excited to see what kind of work he can get into.
